After I was divorced from my husband of nine years I had to relocate to a different neighborhood after the sale of our home was complete. Because I was now having to get by just on my income I was forced to move to a smaller home in a less expensive neighborhood. Me and my two daughters were happy to get settled in but were a bit unprepared for the level of crime that came with the more affordable neighborhood.
In our old neighborhood there were regular police patrols and everyone participated in a neighborhood watch committee that met once every month. There was no neighborhood watch at out new neighborhood watch and police patrols were sporadic at best and at night some of the street lights didn't work. After a month of living in fear I decided to give ADT a call to see what could be done to increase me and my daughters personal security in our new surroundings.
After having to pay for the move in and some new furniture I wasn't sure that we could actually afford a complete security system but I had to do something and I was hoping to at least have a basic burglar alarm installed, so we all could sleep well at night. The ADT Home Security representative arrived and he came fully equipped with everything I needed to see just for myself what it was that the they had to offer in home security systems.
It turns out that my initial fears that a decent security system was going to run me into the thousands of dollars was totally off the mark, because as he explained costs have fallen as the level of technology has risen. I was also off the mark concerning just how a new modern state of the art security system functioned. I was surprised to learn that ADT Security Monitoring could actually install a thirty-five foot security barrier outside of my home that would sound the alert if a prowler entered my yard at any time and approached my home.
The new level of technology that he was able to demonstrate to me was simply amazing and I was really impressed by the the sensing devices that are able to see a person even in the pitch black of the night by detecting their movements and body heat. There was no sales pressure at all and in fact his visit was more like a crash course on home security then it was a sales presentation and by the time he left I was scheduled for a visit by an ADT residential security expert who arrived the following day.
In short my home is now covered by an ADT invisible blanket of security that will immediately summon help if any one of the sensors are tripped. I sleep so much better at night and with this system I can actually place a phone call to it from work to make sure that my daughters have arrived home from school and are safe in our home without letting my girls know that I have checked up on them.
